Daimler Truck Holding AG
Daimler Truck Holding AG makes trucks and buses for moving goods and people. Its core brands include heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks, city and intercity buses, and related parts and services. The company sells mainly to trucking fleets, logistics companies, construction firms, public transit operators, and governments that need commercial vehicles built for work rather than personal use. The company makes money by selling vehicles, but that is only part of the business. It also earns recurring income from spare parts, maintenance, repair, fleet support, and financing tied to vehicle purchases. That service and parts business matters because commercial customers keep vehicles on the road for many years and need reliable support to reduce downtime. What makes Daimler Truck different is its role in the commercial vehicle value chain. It is not just an automaker; it is a supplier of the machines, parts, and after-sales support that keep freight and passenger transport running. That gives it a business built around long-lived equipment, technical service, and repeat customer relationships rather than one-time consumer sales.

Top line: Daimler Truck reported Q2 revenue of EUR 12.3 billion, up 5%, with net profit of EUR 1.5 billion and EPS of EUR 1.91, and said the quarter marked a turning point for the company.
Guidance raised: Management lifted full-year 2026 outlook after stronger-than-expected North America performance, better U.S. tariff treatment, and higher expected volumes; group adjusted EBIT is now guided to EUR 3.6 billion to EUR 4.1 billion.
North America strength: Trucks North America benefited from higher volumes, pricing actions and cost discipline, while order intake jumped to more than 35,000 units and July Class 8 order share reached 45%.
Europe mixed: Mercedes-Benz Trucks had solid demand and better sales, but profitability was pressured by higher R&D, Halberstadt ramp-up issues and negative price/cost in Q2; management expects Q4 to be much stronger.
Strategic moves: Daimler Truck announced a new U.S. manufacturing facility, launched Daimler Truck Defense, and continued expanding its own retail and service network, including 6 added U.K. locations through eStar.
Cash flow: Industrial free cash flow was very strong at around EUR 1.8 billion, helped by ARCHION proceeds and working capital improvements, pushing net industrial liquidity to EUR 8.3 billion.
