Scaling up: Aurora said 2026 is the year it begins to scale, with plans to exit the year with more than 200 driverless trucks in operation across the Sunbelt.
Revenue build: First-quarter revenue was $1 million, up 10% sequentially, and management kept full-year 2026 revenue guidance at $14 million to $16 million.
Hirschbach momentum: Aurora said Hirschbach selected it to scale an autonomous fleet with intent to own and operate 500 trucks, and management expects to finalize the definitive agreement later this year.
Cost targets: Management reiterated its target for gross profit breakeven tied to roughly $80 million in annualized Transportation-as-a-Service revenue, while saying pricing near $0.85 per mile can support broad adoption in Driver-as-a-Service.
Cash use: First-quarter operating cash use was $159 million, below the company’s quarterly average target, though second-quarter cash spend is expected to be above target because of bonus timing.
Tech progress: Aurora highlighted 370,000 driverless miles in April with 100% on-time performance and 0 attributed collisions, plus a second-generation hardware kit targeted for a second-quarter launch.
Regulatory lift: California’s new stance on autonomous trucking was described as a major milestone that expands Aurora’s potential market and creates a path to coast-to-coast operations.
