Financial Growth: Telkom reported increases in revenue (up 3.6%), EBITDA (up 4.5%), and net income (up 6.9%) year-on-year for the first half of 2022.
Digital Business Strength: Digital business continued to drive growth and offset declines in legacy revenue, with IndiHome and wholesale both showing strong contributions.
Healthy Margins: Telkomsel maintained an EBITDA margin of 57.1% and a net income margin of 26.2%.
Customer Additions: IndiHome added 288,000 new customers in H1, reaching a total of 8.9 million, and management expects to achieve its 600,000–700,000 full-year target.
Network & Data Center Expansion: The company completed Phase 1 of its HyperScale Data Center and launched a second international communication gateway; further data center expansion is underway.
Industry Competition & Pricing: Management noted more rational competition with industry-wide price increases and a shift towards profitability over market share.
Cost Management: O&M cost growth was moderated, and inflationary pressures are being actively managed, with most power costs locked in via utility contracts.
