PC Connection Inc
PC Connection Inc. is an information technology reseller that sells computers, software, networking gear, and related services to businesses, government agencies, schools, and individual customers. It does not make the hardware itself; instead, it sources products from major tech vendors and packages them into complete purchases for customers that need help choosing, configuring, and supporting their IT equipment. The company makes money mainly by reselling third-party technology products and by charging for services such as system configuration, deployment, and support. A large part of its value comes from acting as an intermediary that can simplify buying decisions for customers who need many different brands and product types in one place. What makes PC Connection’s business different is that it sits in the middle of the IT supply chain as a distributor and service partner, not a software maker or hardware manufacturer. Its customers rely on it to save time, reduce purchasing complexity, and get the right mix of equipment and support for their workplaces and networks.

Topline beat: Connection said Q1 was a solid start to 2026, with gross billings up 4.3% to $1 billion and net sales up 3% to $721.9 million, helped by strength in Business Solutions and Enterprise Solutions.
Margins improved: Gross profit rose 4.3% to $132.7 million and gross margin expanded 20 basis points to 18.4%, while operating income jumped 39.3% to $20.2 million.
Supply constraints: Management said memory shortages and related price increases started to affect the quarter, leading some customers to buy early while others delayed orders because of budgets and timing.
Backlog surge: Backlog reached its highest level since mid-2022, but management said it does not see evidence of widespread double ordering and believes most activity reflects customers trying to secure supply.
Outlook tone: Management expects PC refresh demand, data center modernization and AI adoption to stay strong through 2026, though it warned the second half could soften if pricing and supply dynamics ease.
Capital return: The company bought back about 42,000 shares for $2.4 million, paid a $0.20 dividend, and declared another $0.20 dividend for May 29, 2026.
