F5 Inc
F5 makes networking and security products that sit in front of business applications and control how traffic reaches them. Its software and appliances help companies balance traffic, speed up apps, secure websites and APIs, and protect against attacks. The company is best known for its BIG-IP and NGINX products, plus cloud-based services for application delivery and security. Its main customers are large enterprises, cloud and internet companies, telecom carriers, governments, and other organizations that run important online systems. F5 sells a mix of hardware, software subscriptions, and support contracts, along with cloud-delivered security and management services. Customers pay for these products to keep apps reliable, fast, and protected across data centers, public clouds, and hybrid environments. What makes F5 different is its role in the middle of the application path: it is not the app maker or the cloud provider, but the layer that helps apps perform and stay secure wherever they run. That puts it in a key spot for companies that need to move traffic, enforce security rules, and manage many application environments from one control point.

Strong quarter: F5 reported 11% revenue growth to $812 million, led by 22% product growth and another quarter of strong systems and software performance.
Outlook raised: Management increased full-year fiscal 2026 revenue growth guidance to 7% to 8% from 5% to 6% and lifted EPS guidance to $16.25 to $16.55.
AI momentum: F5 said AI use cases reached about $50 million in first-half sales, up more than 200% year over year, with roughly 100 customers using F5 for AI.
Security demand: Management described a step-up in customer interest in runtime security, API security, bot defense, and AI-powered security as attacks become faster and more sophisticated.
Refresh plus: Hardware demand remained strong, but management emphasized this is not just a refresh story; they see expansion, competitive takeout, and platform consolidation alongside the refresh cycle.
Margin pressure: The company expects gross margin to step down sequentially from Q3 to Q4 because of higher memory costs, though the full-year margin outlook was unchanged.
