Baidu Inc
Baidu is best known as China’s leading search company. It runs the Baidu search engine and related information services that help people find web pages, news, maps, video, and local services. It mainly sells advertising and paid promotion to businesses that want their content to appear in search results and across Baidu’s content apps. Beyond search, Baidu also sells cloud services and AI tools to companies and government customers. These include computing, data, and software services that help businesses build applications, manage data, and use artificial intelligence. Baidu also works on autonomous driving and other AI projects, where it earns money through software, partnerships, and related service arrangements. What makes Baidu different is that it sits at the center of China’s internet search market while also acting as an AI infrastructure provider. That gives it two main ways to make money: advertising from consumer internet traffic and business contracts for cloud and AI products. In plain terms, Baidu turns search traffic and technical know-how into revenue from both marketers and enterprise customers.
