Chunghwa Telecom Co Ltd
Chunghwa Telecom is Taiwan’s largest telecom provider. It sells mobile phone service, home internet, fixed-line voice, and business connectivity through its own nationwide network. For everyday users, it is the company behind the phone plans, broadband lines, and bundled communication services many households use. Its main customers are consumers, small businesses, large companies, and government agencies. The company makes money mostly from monthly service fees, usage charges, and contracts for enterprise network services such as leased lines, data connections, and cloud-related services. It also earns from wholesale network access and related telecom services. What makes Chunghwa Telecom different is its role as a core utility in Taiwan’s communications system. It owns the network infrastructure that carries voice and data traffic across the island, so it sits at the center of the value chain rather than just reselling services. That gives it a business built on long-term customer relationships, essential connectivity, and steady demand for communication services.
