Li Auto Inc
Li Auto Inc. designs, makes, and sells smart electric vehicles in China, with a focus on family-sized SUVs. Its cars combine electric driving with a gasoline engine used as a range extender in some models, which helps drivers go farther without relying only on charging. The company also offers related services such as charging support, financing, insurance, and after-sales service. Its main customers are private car buyers, especially families looking for a comfortable vehicle with long driving range, roomy interiors, and advanced driver-assistance features. Li Auto sells mainly through its own direct sales model, using company-run stores and online channels rather than a traditional dealer network. That gives it tighter control over pricing, customer experience, and vehicle delivery. Li Auto makes money mostly by selling vehicles, with additional income from service and other vehicle-related products. What sets it apart is its role as both an automaker and a software-driven car brand: it builds the vehicles, controls the customer relationship, and bundles hardware with digital features and support. In simple terms, it is a premium electric car company that tries to make long-range family travel easier and less dependent on public charging.

Sales rebound: Li Auto said deliveries returned to a growth path in Q1 and the company kept its full-year sales growth target at 20%.
L9 momentum: The new Li L9 got more than 10,000 orders in two weeks, with the Livis trim making up over 90% of orders, but supply and ramp-up will limit near-term deliveries.
Margin pressure: Q1 profitability weakened sharply on product mix and seasonal factors, but management expects gross margin to recover to about 10% in Q2 as the new L9 ramps.
AI push: The company highlighted its MAHE M100 chip and MindVLA model as a major milestone and said it aims to match Tesla FSD v14 performance in the U.S. in the second half of this year.
Expansion plans: Li Auto outlined a more aggressive overseas rollout, including the Middle East, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe, while also discussing humanoid robots as a long-term opportunity.
