Element Solutions Inc
Element Solutions makes specialty chemical products that are used inside manufacturing processes, especially in electronics and other industrial work. Its products include materials for printed circuit boards, semiconductor packaging, metal finishing, and other surface-treatment steps where precision chemicals are needed rather than finished consumer goods. The company sells mainly to manufacturers, not to end consumers. Its customers are electronics makers, industrial manufacturers, and companies that need high-performance chemical formulations for plating, bonding, cleaning, and protecting surfaces. It makes money by selling these specialty chemicals and related consumables, often as recurring supplies that customers keep buying to keep their production lines running. What sets Element Solutions apart is that it sits in a critical but less visible part of the manufacturing chain. Its products are usually engineered to work inside a customer’s process, so performance and consistency matter more than brand recognition. That makes the business more like a technical partner to manufacturers than a traditional chemicals seller.

Strong start: Element Solutions said Q1 2026 was a record quarter, with organic net sales up 10% and constant currency adjusted EBITDA up 21% year over year.
Electronics momentum: Electronics organic sales rose 15%, led by data center, AI infrastructure, high-end smartphone and advanced packaging demand, with management saying growth was mostly volume-driven.
Guidance raised: Full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance was raised to $665 million to $685 million, and 2026 adjusted EPS growth is now expected to be in the high teens.
Costs and volatility: Management warned that metal prices, logistics and raw material inflation could create more quarter-to-quarter earnings volatility, though it expects to offset much of the pressure.
Capital spending up: CapEx guidance increased to $75 million to $100 million from the prior $75 million run rate as the company invests in growth capacity, Kuprion, and plant consolidation.
Mixed end markets: Industrial Solutions stayed flat and management turned more cautious on industrial demand, while Offshore Energy and EFC both posted strong growth.
