Expro Group Holdings NV
Expro Group Holdings NV is an oilfield services company that helps oil and gas producers drill, complete, test, and maintain wells. Its main work centers on well access, well flow management, and tools and services used during the life of a well, including offshore and subsea projects. In simple terms, Expro sells the specialist equipment, engineering support, and field services that operators need to bring hydrocarbons to the surface safely and efficiently. Its customers are mainly oil and gas companies and drilling contractors that need outside expertise for complex well work. Expro makes money by charging for service jobs, renting or selling specialized tools and equipment, and providing long-term support contracts tied to specific projects or well programs. Much of its value comes from being a technical partner on difficult wells where reliability, safety, and precision matter. What sets Expro apart is its role as a niche specialist rather than a broad-based supplier. It focuses on high-skill, mission-critical tasks such as well testing, intervention, and subsea well access, where customers care more about execution and safety than low price alone. That makes its business tied to the operating needs of upstream energy companies and the technical complexity of the wells they run.

Quarterly rebound: Expro posted $393 million of revenue, $76 million of adjusted EBITDA, and $56 million of adjusted free cash flow, with management pointing to a solid sequential improvement from Q1.
Middle East drag: Results and outlook were hurt by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, and management said the full-year guide now assumes disruption continues through the rest of 2026.
Margin step-up ahead: Management still expects a sharp second-half improvement, with adjusted EBITDA margin above 24% in 2H26 and above 26% in Q4.
Deal closed: Expro completed the Enhanced Drilling acquisition and said it adds differentiated MPD technology and about 5 months of contribution in 2026.
Cash focus: Even with a slightly softer EBITDA outlook, the company emphasized stronger free cash flow, supported by lower capital intensity, working-capital discipline, and more than $40 million of structural cost removals in 2026.
