EMCOR Group Inc
EMCOR Group is a building and industrial services company. It designs, installs, and maintains mechanical and electrical systems for commercial buildings, factories, hospitals, data centers, and other large facilities. It also does specialty construction and on-site technical services that keep complex facilities running safely and efficiently. Its customers are the owners and operators of buildings and industrial plants, along with government and institutional clients. EMCOR makes money mostly by bidding on projects and service contracts, then charging for labor, materials, equipment, and ongoing maintenance work. Some jobs are one-time construction projects, while others are recurring service relationships that help customers repair, upgrade, and manage critical building systems. What makes EMCOR different is that it sits in the middle of the construction and operations chain. It is not a pure builder and not just a maintenance company; it combines both. That gives it a steady mix of new project work and repeat service revenue, tied to the parts of the economy that need specialized plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, fire protection, and industrial support work.

Record quarter: EMCOR reported first-quarter revenue of $4.63 billion, up 19.7% year over year, with diluted EPS of $6.84, up 30%, and first-quarter operating income of $403.8 million, both records for the company.
Data center strength: Management said demand remained exceptionally strong in networking and communications, especially data centers, driven by AI infrastructure, cloud spending and digital transformation.
RPO surge: Remaining performance obligations rose to $15.62 billion, up 32.9% year over year and 17.9% sequentially, giving the company strong visibility into future work.
Guidance raised: EMCOR lifted full-year 2026 guidance to revenue of $18.5 billion to $19.25 billion and diluted EPS of $28.25 to $29.75.
Margin mix: Management said mechanical margins were pressured by mix, including more GMP and cost-plus work, but they still expect strong execution and cited the chance to match last year’s record margins.
Labor and capacity: The company said craft labor remains manageable, with the bigger constraint being field leadership and supervision rather than equipment or procurement.
M&A focus: EMCOR said its acquisition pipeline is good, with a focus on electrical construction, mechanical construction, fire protection and mechanical services rather than high-voltage transmission.
