Opera Ltd
Opera Ltd makes web browsers and internet software for people who want a faster, lighter way to get online. Its main products include the Opera browser for desktop and mobile, Opera GX for gamers, and other browser-based apps and services. It also sells add-on features such as built-in ad blocking, privacy tools, news feeds, and shortcuts that help users browse and manage web content more easily. The company mainly serves individual consumers, especially mobile users and people who choose alternative browsers instead of the default options from Apple, Google, or Microsoft. Opera makes money mostly through advertising, search-related revenue, and distribution deals that send users to search engines and other online services. In some cases it also earns fees from partnerships tied to traffic, app installs, or other user referrals. What makes Opera’s business different is that it sits at the edge of the internet experience: it does not create the websites people visit, but it controls the browser and the traffic flow into those sites. That gives it a role in web discovery, search access, and online advertising, while its browser products act as the main gateway that keeps users inside its own software environment.

Beat: Opera said first-quarter revenue of $176 million and adjusted EBITDA of $42 million both beat the top end of guidance, helped by stronger-than-expected advertising and query revenue.
Guidance up: Management raised full-year revenue guidance to $727 million-$740 million and adjusted EBITDA guidance to $170 million-$174 million after a strong start to 2026.
AI push: The company framed AI as a key growth driver, saying browser users engaging with AI spend more time in the browser and search more, which supports monetization.
Ad momentum: Advertising revenue hit a new high of $117 million, with management saying e-commerce partnerships remain a major growth engine and travel is the next opportunity.
Capital returns: Opera continued its dividend plus buyback strategy, repurchasing 1.14 million shares for $17 million in March and reiterating a $0.80 annual dividend.
MiniPay scale: MiniPay has now activated over 15 million wallets and processed over 430 million transactions, while management said it already contributes meaningfully to revenue.
