Earnings: Underlying EBIT of $563 million for H1 FY26, at the upper end of the January range.
Retail action: Dan Murphy's reset shelf prices and increased promotions; retail sales were $5.5 billion (up 0.2%) and combined Dan Murphy's & BWS grew 0.7%, with online sales up 35.1% to 11.3% of combined sales.
Hotels momentum: Hotels sales grew 4.4% to $1.2 billion with underlying EBIT of $275 million (up 5%); 21 hotel renewals and >800 new EGMs installed in H1.
Investment and guidance: Group revised FY26 CapEx to $460–$500 million to accelerate hotel renewals; One Endeavour OpEx is expected to be at the lower end of the prior $50–$60 million range.
Cash & balance sheet: Net operating cash flow was $997 million (cash realization 165%); net debt decreased $34 million and the group has $1 billion of undrawn facilities; underlying leverage 3.3x (seasonal).
Significant items: Pretax net significant items of $45 million were recorded in H1 (management detailed provisions, gains and advisory fees during the presentation).
Strategy reset: Management is prioritizing price leadership in retail, accelerating hotel investment, simplifying operations, and will provide a detailed strategy update on 27 May.
